Describe what you do in one sentence or less:: I work with the development team to produce high quality solutions, delivered on time and on budget.
Why do you do what you do?: I have a fascination with technology and the way in which the user interacts with it. I also have a fascination with agile programming techniques and applying those techniques.
How do you do what you do?: Stacks of 3x5 post it notes.
Prioritized list of work.
Very short delivery cycles with reviews to the stakeholders.
Where were you pre-Emerge?: At Xerox I held a few different positions over 5 years, Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead and Implementation Manager.
Can you brag about some of your career accomplishments?: I have worked on everything from brochure ware sites to global enterprise class software distributed across many systems. I have also organized grass roots shared software libraries in a couple of the companies that I have worked for. At Xerox this involved a codebase which was shared across many projects and it involved many small teams of developers all working together on the same codebase efficiently.
Extra-curricular activities:: In the spring, summer and fall I mountain bike, canoe and camp with my family. In the winter I snowmobile and all year I play with my 2 young kids.
