I bring people, businesses and technology together in order to simplify complex situations and get more done with less.
Why do you do what you do?
I am passionate about making business simpler and using technology to increase the quality of life and productivity for people trying to make business happen.
How do you do what you do?
1. Relax & Think
2. Work: Toothpicks for my eyelids, caffeine for my blood stream and electrical stimulus for my nervous system
3. Meditate & Levitate
4. Participate in some sort of dangerous (and not always smart) sporting activity
5. Repeat steps 1-4
Where were you pre-Emerge?
Prior to joining Emerge, I was the founder and managing director of a successful consulting firm that specialized in providing cutting-edge solutions and product development services to both the public and private sectors. I excelled in taking the raw materials of a business, applying technology and crafting solutions that delivered real business value for real people.
Can you brag about some of your career accomplishments?
Last year, I created Socialscape, a social marketing tool, designed to address the growing market for Social Media Intelligence & Analytics Integration. Plus, I've launched and managed a successful hosting business that featured Flexible Virtualization Technology — way before it became cool. I also served as a principal consultant for companies like: Cisco Systems, Dell, US Department of Defense, Ogilvy Public Relations, Tetra Pak, Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Matha MacDonald & GUCCI. And I've built a large green screen studio and production business with full Internet broadcasting capabilities.
Extra-curricular activities:
I collect running, biking, swimming, climbing, paddling and skiing equipment. Then I try to use it until it breaks so I can get new gear at the beginning of the next season.
